I'd run out of Poultry Shield and had been given some Total Mite Kill concentrate to try, so thought I'd give it a whirl instead.

 

I have to say that it's not as good at cleaning as Poultry Shield, but is pleasant to use and I'd probably use it after blasting the cube with a jetwasher or scrubbing with soapy water. It seems to leave a protective film on the surfaces, which disappears on drying - I guess this is how it works.

 

I don't have any lice or mites, so can't comment on its efficacy, but I would use it as a soak or treatment after cleaning.

 

Be aware though that it contains Permethrin, so would be toxic to cats.
