Fingers crossed I have not had any red mites,I clean the coop and poo tray 2/3 time a week and use DE. Do I just sprinkle red mite powder as I do DE or do I only use it when there is red mite, not sure if I use it as preventative or when the wee devils strike. thank you Jackie Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gamebird Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 Red Mite Powder is used as a preventative whereas DE can actually kill small numbers of the little bugs.
