Bit of advice please.

 

My Red Mite powder has arrived. Fingers crossed I have not had any red mites,I clean the coop and poo tray 2/3 time a week and use DE. Do I just sprinkle red mite powder as I do DE or do I only use it when there is red mite, not sure if I use it as preventative or when the wee devils strike.

Red Mite Powder is used as a preventative whereas DE can actually kill small numbers of the little bugs.

 

I also give my hen house a thorough drenching with Poultry Shield every week just to be on the safe side.
