Free ranging ex-batts

They had a short while in the garden yesterday when we moved the coop around, but today I let them out at about 3.30pm, intending to entice them back in later with a bit of cooked rice (favourite treat so far!), but after about an hour they made their own way back to the run - clever girls :-D

Totally agree!

we've had our 3 ex batts for 10 days now, and while its been stressful for all concerned - me included, as we've had lots of pecking and laying has stopped, i love to see them in the garden and they've learnt so quick that i'm the one that feeds them and llets them out and that they need to go in at dusjk - i'm starting my own little crusade against anything battery!
