midgie Posted September 21, 2009 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Hi, one of my hens seems to have a dandruff-y comb? She's otherwise very well, laying, bossing everyone around, bright eyed and full of energy, but for a while now her comb, has had a powdery look to it. Other than that it looks a good colour, and is upright, and doesn't seem to be bothering her. Anyone know what this is, and if it is something that I should be trying to treat? Thanks! Valkyrie Posted September 29, 2009 Share Posted September 29, 2009 A little vaseline wouldn't hurt - I gather scaley leg mites can also affect the beak and around, so just in case. I do a little around their wattles and daubs (well that's what I like calling them ) - can be a bit of a fight with ducking and weaving, but then one girl is happy to be pampered (the other three are little devils when it comes to husbandry).
