Hi

One of my 2 new girls makes on odd sort of noise.

She's done it since we got her (I think)

Every half an hour or so, she seems to sort of clear her throat

- at first I thought she'd simply got a piece of food stuck as it was usually when she'd been really scoffing her food, but she seems to do it at other times.

 

She's eating, drinking, running around, laying eggs and seems otherwise fine.

 

Any ideas ??

Our Ginger had this when we first got her, we took her back to where she came from and they gave her some antibiotics and she has been fine ever since.

One of my girls hiccups when she wolfs down treats too quickly and that sounds like a squeeky sort of cough. It could be she's just eating too quickly if she seems fine in all other respects.

 

Keep an eye on her for a day or two, but if she's behaving normally I wouldn't worry too much.

One of mine started making a squeaky kind of cough ever since I started using Bedmax on the floor of the run. It says it's 'dust free', but it makes my nose tickle when I take it out of the bale.
