laying on the roosting bars and are broken

Recommended Posts

I keep finding eggs on the bars which are broken does this mean they would have been soft? wouldnt have thought that they would break from such a small height.

How do I persuade they to lay them in the nest. Some are being laid in there and I havent had a soft one that has been in the nest. :?

Sometimes they lay a soft shelled egg where the shell is rubbery/bendy and splits before it dries out - usually you can spot when this is the case, it's like deflated balloon.

I've had this recently, I put it down to lack of calcium as they're ex batts and are using their calcium intake to make stronger bones. (I also think they're moulting which is why the eggs have stopped). I'm trying a supplement in their water which I hope will help... and worming them.
