The WIR is near completion  It is having a plastic roof and we are going to use Aubiose for the floor covering. We have some plastic sheets left over and are wondering whether to attach the remaining sheets to the outside of the run to protect the chickens from the wind and rain. The height of the sheets from the ground will be 2ft 6". What do you think? Don't want the chickens to feel too closed in. :anxious:

Im just in the process of trying to prise my OH off the sofa to come and fix a clear tarpaulin to side of the run to protect the girls in bad weather. This way it can be rolled up when the weathers fine. It will go from top to bottom of the run. It will also keep the bedding dry as if that gets wet it'll smell! :vom:

Ifits corrugated I wouldnt use it on the bottom of the run, the bedding that the chooks kick about will get stuck between the wire and the plastic (of course you could make the panels removable I suppose..)

If it was me I would decide what the most exposed side of the run was and put one or two panels from the top down on that side
