A wet and Damp garden makes for mad chickens. My girls are loving this damp weather, running at full speed around the garden to their 'favourite haunts' digging, scratching and generally making a mess looking for tasty treats. Their current savage behaviour makes me fear for my gardens safety in the upcoming winter months! I am concerned with the nights drawing in so early, that my girls will only really have free range time at the weekend as I am at work all day. How much time do your chooks get to free range during winter?

Well it was just weekends last year unless I got an afternoon off but it does save your garden a bit.

I work full time too so mine only get to free range at weekends in the winter, they seemed okay with that last year. Although I'm obviously not here to hear if they are kicking up a fuss
