Delia
Ok - so I got the flour today with no instructions. Can anyone tell me exactly how much (in proportion terms) to add to the layers pellets and how much cod liver oil to add too? I have one plumped up limping chicken and an old girl laying softies with three others healthy. Sorry to be so dense but I want to get it right. veggiemad
Hi. i've had limestone flour and at first put a pinch into the grub, that made no difference, so put a teaspoon per grub full of pellets. Not sure on the exact dosage as mine came without instructions too, but it seems to be workingfor me. good luck. I hate softies- they seem such a waste! Egluntyne
I put a desertspoonful into a grub full of pellets. Add a trickle of cod liver oil to the pellets first, and shake well to coat, then ad the limestone flour. The CLO will help with calcium absorption. Delia
Thanks both -Egluntyne, is that a big cube size grub please? I actually use a traditional green & white plastic feeder as my WIR wire isn't strong enough to support the Glug & Grub (pity) but can compare sizes. Egluntyne
Just a bog standard grub.
Ms Marple
Hi. I dose using a similar amount to Egluntyne or use the scoop in the tub of flour and I add it to porridge made with water and bit of CoL. They wolf it down so at least I know they have all had some. It is also how I administer Flubenvet once I got too many chickens for the grape method to work!!
