TAJ
Does anyone have an eglu small bird kit? I ordered one, more to keep to auboise in the run than anything else. It has come without the cable ties & instructions, so I am now awaiting on Omlet sending them. I thought the green edging bits would all be rectangular and attach with the cable ties (as per the picture in the omlet shop). However they are more angled and the holes are 4 at one end and 2 at the other on each of the 8 side pieces. Does anyone know how they are supposed to be placed on the sides/which holes should go where? Tracy
purple hen
I recently got the small bird kit, which like yours came with no cable ties and no instructions. I rang to request the missing items and did get the cable ties with a handwritten note on the packing slip to say "No instuction book, but on the website is a step by step guide with pictures". Having spent quite some time unsuccessfully searching the website I have fitted it as best I can. The base for inside the eglu seems ok, but my best attempts to fit the run skirts have been unsatisfactory, leaving the strips drooping in the middle and gaps at the corners which I have had to plug to stop the woodshavings falling out. I think there must be a particular way that the holes in the strips are meant to go together to make the skirt work better, but I couldn't work it out. There is a review in the shop of someone who also didn't get the cable ties or instructions - I also pointed this out and that it was not a 'one-off' when I phoned Omlet this morning. If anyone can find the instructions online please can they give me the link. Thanks, Tracy
TAJ
They have sent me the instruction as a PDF, so if anyone else needs them send me your e-mail address and I can forward. When you know which bits go where it really fits well and all the holes are perfectly placed. I wouldn't bother with the bit inside the eglu - better just without the roosting bars, but the skirt is great for keeping in the aubiose.
