Prolapsed vent - am I getting it right?

We have just come back from a lovely day and a bit in Penrith in Cumbria. Such a beautiful area. We were looking at a university for DD for next year. She is very interested in studying 'Wildlife and Media' and the only 2 places that seem to do it are Cornwall and Cumbria.

 

I was just wondering if anyone knew about the Penrith campus of Cumbria University and your thoughts about the place.

I used to live near Penrith but I don't know anything about the Campus. I presume it's Newton Rigg?

 

From my early morning shopping trips to Penrith on a Saturday, I got the impression that there was some lively night life on a Friday!

 

And Penrith is on the west coast mainline, so commuting with dirty washing shouldn't be difficult for DD.

Yes, you are right, it's at Newton Rigg. It's quite small - used to be a farm apparantly, but does lots of interesting courses.

 

Took us 6 hours (which included a break) to do the journey. I hear you can fly there though! - Not very eco friendly I know.

Only a stone's throw from Ullswater

 

 

and in Little Salkeld is Cumbria's only watermill producing the most wonderful flour for breadmaking.

 

We are 30 minutes away near Kendal

 

PS I used to do Teddington to Kendal (Junct 36) in 3hrs 45

I resisted the urge to say that OSH!! Being on the doorstep of the most beautiful countryside in England would be enough to have tempted me to study at Newton Rigg .... whatever the course!

 

If you get the direct train, Penrith to Euston is only 3 hrs.
