BarbaraJ Posted October 30, 2009 Share Posted October 30, 2009 i made a slab sponge cake , thought i'd add some choc drops and they all sank, i've had this happen before, whats the trick to stop them sinking ? only thing i thought was i added a little milk as the mix was a little thick. kerryegg Posted October 30, 2009 Share Posted October 30, 2009 Never had this problem as I eat the chocolate drops before making the cake but suggest the mixture was too wet. Drops sold for cake making don't sink, or at least they didn't the only time I used them and are not as tempting to eat before cooking. Good luck for next time.
