veggiemad Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 One of my hens whose been moulting and not lyaing for a while today made a huge racket and i went out to investigate, only to find her coming down the cube ladder. I had a peep in the next box- not expecting ANYTHING at all coz i'd already had my one egg for today from a different girl- only to find a HUGE egg with a very delicate shell (already broken ) and what looked to be 2 yolks from it in the nest box! I rolled the delicate shell onto some kitchen roll to carry in and inside was another yolk, still intact as well. Was this a triple yoker coz she hadnt laid for a while - do they store them up ??????
