Pudsey Bear t-shirt rant!

Recommended Posts

Two of my children are in youth group, they are planning to have a baking event night on Friday and have been asked to wear a Pudsey t-shirt to sell their bakes. :D

I have been into ASDA three times without success. Two weeks ago I was too early, then they have been sold out since. The lady in ASDA told me that they sell out within the hour which is OK if you don't work and live right next to the store! Unfortunately I do work and ASDA is miles away!! I've tried to buy them online without success . . are they not producing enough of them? :?

During my internet search I am horrified to discover the £3 t-shirts are selling for £8 - £15 on ebay! What kind of person would profit from a charity t-shirt?

My children will not be in Pudsey t-shirts because I refuse to line other peoples pockets.

Rant over!!!

I think the youth group have a bit of a cheek asking people to wear Pudsey T shirts in the first place - it's a cost, then you will undoubtedly end up paying for the baked goods too and pay again. Not everyone can afford to pay and pay and pay, even for charity!

Far better to ask for fancy dress which can be done free or even from their existing dressing up box!

If these t shirts are hard to get you can bet there will be more without them than with them. I'm surprised Ebay allow people to sell these though - its a bit racketeering.
