Couperwife
not the cakey type ones does anyone know of a good recipe for these? I think they are like a bread type base, my mum thought they were like a drop scone (is that what they are called?) type recipe either way, I would like to make some with a really strong cheese, so you know you are getting a cheesy muffin, not a sort of bland tasting thing. thank you cathy x
Christian
Like scones? I had a visitor a while ago that detests sultana scones, so made cheese ones for her (the fussy madam Lesley) 225g SR flour 55g butter large handful of grated cheese small handful of finely grated parmesan 150ml ish of milk 1 tsp baking powder mix the flour, butter and BP to form breadcrumbs using fingertips. mix in cheese add enough milk to make dough flatten with hand and cut out scones top with more grated cheese cook at 220c for 12-15 minutes.
