First free range

My dog has gone to the vets to be spayed this morning. Trying not to think about that, but anyway...

 

I figured it was a safe time to let my girls out into the garden, just for a while. It was nice to see them scratching about for the insects and grubs, in the fallen leaves. I didn't want to leave them out unattended, for obvious reasons, as we aren't fox-proof!

 

One didn't want to go back in, even with the temptation of a prune (her favourite!), she was so pre-occupied, but I have too many chores to do, so had to curtail her freedom, alas.

 

It's made me think about getting some electric fencing sometime though.
