alih
Am thinking of converting my eglu for my guineas in the summer and wanted your advice re kits and whether they are good? Tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
poachedegg
Rather than buying a conversion kit, could you not just take out the roosting bars and pack with hay? The bottle and bowl could go in the run - that is what we did anyhow as they just used the hay rack and bowl in the house as a bunk bed! :
alih
Ah ha, I hah thought of that but was wondering whether the gap at the back (where the chicken try pulls out) isn't a bit draughty for the guineas? I fancy putting a snuggly cocoon with hay in and leaving it as it is but worry a bit about the cold?
poachedegg
If you stuffed it full of hay - or even put a little house in there for them to snuggle into - then they would be fine.
