Mattaz
Im very puzzled because yesterday when i took out the eggs i found 4 eggs and i thought, oh i must have left one out from yesterday but today when i took out the eggs i got 4 eggs again! Im very confused because i only have 3 hens. Is it possible for chickens to lay 2 eggs?
Toots
just guessing but i suppose it must be! unless you have the opposite to a chicken of fate, the chicken of invisibility. come in, lay eggs get food but avoid cuddles! If my 4 knew it was possible to avoid cuddles i know they would all be invisible!

jimnpaula
Well, I wonder whether one of mine is doing this too. For a couple of weeks we've had 5 to 6 eggs from 7 ex bats, then 2 days of 7 eggs. However, I'm sure Amethyst isn't laying though as she hasn't got a red face like the other girls. She won't come close enough to us to test the crouch response. P
Mattaz
hmm. well it was only a couple of weeks a go i was getting only 1 or 2 eggs a day from them. Ill just have to wait and see if i get 4 eggs tommorow. And toots, one of my hens, rachel, started laying with quite a pale face so your Amethyst probably has started to lay. Little Clucker
The same thing happened to me today Managed to get 4 eggs from 3 girlies including Dipper's first egg! Hmm now to think of who laid the extra egg :pulls out sherlock holmes hat:
WarrensWorld
They're ISA Browns they fire out eggs like a machine gun. We often get six eggs from our four birds, and double yolks are common too. They tend to slow down a little in winter, but come the summer........
