quickcluck
I have intregrated all 12 girls now..... Maisie and Daisy were brought as I pair and still insist on roosting on a perch at bedtime. Cause of the bad weather we are putting them to bed anyway.... However, Daisy has started laying and is happy to hang with the crowd, Maisie However is playing 'Off Ground Touch' I put her on the floor whenever I go in, but she just jumps back up!!!! I've put a hanging feeder at her level so am hoping she is not starving... but am worried for her....... Any ideas??? Thanks K
Space Chick
My Nyssa has been the same, spending her time away from the others on the pasting table after Susan (her pair) started laying. However, when we came home from our holiday, Nyssa seems like a new chicken. She is confident and integrating herself more, even pinched a grape of Peri yesterday If you know Maisie is eating well, I would leave her to it, she will grow in confidence in her own time
Plum
Agree, I've a similar situation with Motmot who is not yet mature so behaves in a similar way when food is around. I have made a little hanging platform and make sure there is food up there for her and have an extra food and water container at ground level as well. I think Maisie will change as she comes into lay. My Eider had a personality change when she matured though regressed at bit now she is out of lay again.
