quickcluck
We've had to completely cover the WIR! I feel really sorry for my girls, but so much snow and rain was going in, they must have been cold and miserable.... If you look closely you can see Penny on the perch wondering where her birdeye view of the garden went!
Cranfield Kate
I've had to do the same - better a restricted view than a case of the sniffles i say.
JamesAyres
Done very similar with mine, usually out free ranging everyday, but had to keep the in the cubes run. Covered it in tarpauling, looks like and air raid shelter
-sarahjayne
What a good idea. Where did you get the plastic sheeting? I've been looking everywhere for it and can't seem to locate any Thank you in advance
Sarahsausage
I've done the same! What a wonderful WIR you have too! I've left one side uncovered so they can see out though. Sarahjayne I got my sheeting from the garden centre, you can have as much as you need that way, hope you find some
quickcluck
Mine is good old ikea shower curtains 78p!!!!! Good idea about the garden centre, hadn't thought of that!
FiggyPudding
I thought someone had taken a photo of my garden/WIR/House then - it's all very similar shapes ! I used ikea shower curtains, lots of panel nails & a few pegs. I've only done the front though, mainly because I only bought 4 shower curtains & the front seemed to be where all the snow was coming in...East facing. Cheaky Beaky
Really tough time for the Chucks at the moment, I went and bought a ceramic heat lamp for my three, and wired it into the shed, Works brilliantly, I only put it on at night. They seam to be laying well too. They don't like to walk in the snow, but i have cleared it away a little and they venture out a bit during the day. I have also been giving them a little porridge oats too. Hope some of these things will help your chucks too.
