Cube in WIR- access doors?

Recommended Posts

We, or should i say OH, left a gap at the top of the run so the roof could slide forward, I would imagine you would need the same sort of thing for yours and the poo trays. Cookie monsters is the best but we cant all have carpenters for OHs unfortunately. If it would help I could take a picture tomorro. The gap for the poo trays would be simpler as it would be straight. The hole we have for the roof has the odd gap because of the curve of the roof which i put lumps of wood in front of to deter unwanted visitors.

Pics as promised Plum :D

you have to leave quite a gap to allow the roof to lift up when pushed forward.

You can see the gap here

But i just pop a bit of wood there to cover it, it was the simplest thing i could think of to cover the gap, it works anyway

Hope it helps Plum, Im sure making a hole for the poo trays would be easier as they are straight

:D

Thanks see what you mean, it would be much easier if the cube was square but not nearly so nice to look at. You did a good job there :D I think I will make a hinged flap with at least that much clearance on top, perhaps 6 ins so top flap up for cube roof and bottom flap down for poo trays and both open to clean inside.

Just need to make sure I have clearance for them to open with blinking trees in the way. Guess the next option would be lift out sections but that's a bit complicated. No this will work :D

Next worry is roof but I'll post about that when I have sorted out my plans for the rest of the panels
