Egluntyne
Opinions differ, some have managed successfully and others have found that it doesn't work. It depends on the temperament and mix of hens. I'd say try it cautiously, having separate accomodation initially, and if they get on, fine, if they don't - keep them separate. Falkor
I have bantams and LF ....but they are two individual groups. Seperate runs and cubes. HOWEVER after 6 months they now free range together...no sleepovers though. A shot I have just taken from the patio doors......they see a human...they line up for treats If you do get bantams, I would, as Eglutyne says start with seperate housing and see how it goes but be preapred to keep them seperate for good. wombatally
I have a mixture of LF and Bantams and they get on fine. What I would say though is that our Banties are older and we introduced them to the LFs (Including our huge blue Cochin lad) when the LFs were young. Our Bantam cockerel is still the boss. Maybe it'd be difficult introducing younger Banties to older LF.
