Sandychick Posted March 22, 2010 Share Posted March 22, 2010 I'm working from home today, keeping an eye on the new girls exploits - keep doing head counts from the study window and hadn't seen Daphne or a while. Went down to look for her, and no sign in the chicken area - searched everywhere, checked their house and nowhere to be seen. So then started checking the rest of the garden armed with an enticing tub of mealworms - but no where to be seen. Starting to panic a bit now and planning my stratagy in the humiliation of knocking on doors saying 'hi, have you seen my chicken' Went to get the eggs from the old girls on the way past the eglu, and there was Daphne, sat in their nest box - off she ran leaving her first egg - a perfect 44g!!
