Gelbel
My new girls are wonderful. Still a bit nervous in their new surroundings and of us but we are getting the odd girly cuddle or stroke. Anyway, first night I had to put them to bed - no surprise there. But I have had to put Ada to bed evey night (OK they have only had 3 sleeps so far) which is a bit strange as she knows where the coop/nest box is. What she has done, though, is pop herself up on one of the perches in the covered run by the time it is just about pitch dark (8pm in this neck of the woods). My question is, should I keep putting her to bed or leave her to it? She is perfectly safe in the run but not away from any nocturnal prying eyes. BeckyBoo
If she's safe in the run I'd leave her there. I've got one who slept outside through all the snow, there were two but the second one has now decided (now the snow has gone ) she'd rather be indoors. As long as they're safe from visitors I'd let her choose her bed. BeckyBoo
