Chucky Mama
They can lay a few odd eggs and double yolkers when they are new to laying. You can also get thin and soft shelled eggs too. The can lay they all over the place to start with too. It should settle down soon, make sure that they have grit available.
Space Chick
The egg colours can vary slightly, but won't change colour all together. For example, white will stay white, browns can vary on their darkness of brown, same can be said of blue and green eggs. My Romana laid a darker olive green egg last year, and it has gone a paler green colour this year. Hope this helps.

Forge Cottage
Sometimes we get a lighter shade of egg before a girl has a rest day, then a darker one that looks like it has been in the oven a bit longer! The biggest eggs and double yolkers are often a lighter shade, with a wobbly end. Sometimes it looks like someone has been ice-skating on the eggs, maybe where it has been turning inside. All part of the rich pattern of life here, but they all taste just as good!
