I have tried that and didnt get on with it, it would be ok inside a very dry coop thats under cover but the slightest hint of damp makes it horrible

 

I think you get an awful lot more for your money with Aubiose

 

If your run is sheltered and covered you could try Bedmax (large flake shavings) they are pretty good if they stay quite dry
