Chicken boarders

well its day 18 today and sadly I have found my one little silkie egg OFF the nest this morning! It was coolish not cold

 

so I have put it back under willow but Im not sure whether I will have saved it......... Could it still hatch ????

At day 18 the chick is more able to retain its body heat so yes probably it would be ok

 

Many broodies do roll eggs out of the nest if they arent viable though so there was probably a reason it was off the nest, broodies are usually very careful about keeping eggs under them
