katiew7103
I have just bought my Johnsons anti mite spray ( one with canary and budgie on front) dosn't say anything about use on chickens. How do I use it? Someone said something about back of neck, vent and under wings, also that I should discard eggs for 48 hours. Is this all correct. Egluntyne
Correct. It isn't licensed for use on poultry in UK, but is a pretty mainstream treatment for hens nowadays.
shoura
seems such a shame just to bin the eggs---could one feed them back to the chooks as scrambled eggs for instance?
Egluntyne
Some do, but if the active ingredient is excreted in the eggs, and without adequate testing, we have no way of knowing, you would be giving them another, smaller dose, and causing it to stay in the system longer.
