phenna_family
Hi Has anyone on here heard of a chicken breed called Jasmine? Are they big birds and what colour are they? Claire
Kit
Hi I have 2 jasmines and they are absolutely adorable, mine are about 18 weeks old now and of average size [/img] Here is one of them and there is a possibility that they lay blue/green eggs. Mine do! Clare, I got mine from Lisa at Garden Poultry so I am guessing you are going to the same place too Edited April 12, 2010 by Guest

phenna_family
Ah great, my daughter is called Jasmine and is thrilled there is a chicken breed called jasmine, she desperately wants one, we are thinking of building a WIR, we have three girls at the moment in an Eglu, so we need to build a bigger run for them. Can you introduce one chicken into a flock of three?? Claire
Forge Cottage
One new arrival can be badly picked on, so you are better advised to introduce two at Point Of Lay, when they are big enough to look after themselves a bit better. It's a good excuse to buy two chickens!
Kit
I would definitely go for 2, having introduced 4 new girls to 2 established ones, I would never do 1 to an existing flock. I had my wir built a few weeks ago and its the best thing that I have ever done for the girls.
