Unsecure chicken perches

Am so excited. Have broody hen (pekin bantam) and am off to get hatching eggs on Saturday. We want scots dumpies so will put a couple of those under but wondered if anyone could think of another smallish bird that we could hatch who might live happily with pekins and dumpies? I like the sussex bantam but wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Don't want a broody breed though.

I have 2 light sussex bantam hens and they were brought up with pekins scots dumpys marsh daisies etc. they are a very cute little bird and love affection. Just one thing if you have them free ranging in your garden they like to destory plants and dig up the soil.

Couldn't wait 'til Saturday! Put 12 eggs under Colleen today. Dumpies, Sussex bantams and Appenzellers so here's hoping.....
