Hi all,

 

My chicks are a week today. when will I be able to sex them and how can you tell the difference between sexes? My chicks are buff orpingtons, pekins and a frizzle.

Is it possible to sex millefleur pekins by their feathering, because I have three chicks, Two of them are mostly a blond colour with a bit of light brown on their backs but the other is mostly a dark brown/black colour.

Pekins are easy to sex, you should know within a month

 

My Orp was a nightmare, it took six months! apparently if you have a few its easier to tell them apart

 

The feathering colour on the Milles wont give you a clue but girls do feather up on their backs quicker than boys so that does give you a clue
