Hi

 

I plan to call Omlet up tomorrow but wanted to ask now for recent Eglu classic purchases where you ordered chickens too and had it all installed, etc, how long did it take for it to come after ordering?

 

We'd like ours for 2 weeks time hopefully, so it's after our holiday (if flights get up and running again soon!)

 

Is this realistic?

 

Also does anyone know if the Omlet feed contains grit? You can buy feed that has grit included can't you? We were going to add garlic powder to our order too.

My Eglu Go and chickens will arrive on 13th May (6 weeks after placing the order) but I would imagine that it depends on which area you are in and if they have other planned deliveries for that area. Also if you order it on-line you do not immediately receive a delivery date. Omlet left a message on my answering machine with a delivery date a couple of days after I placed my order. I expect if you call them they will give you a date that will be convenient for both parties. Can't answer your question about grit I'm afraid but I have purchased oyster shell/grit mixture in any case (as well as a multitude of other things such as diatom, Stalosan F, Flubenvet, apple cider vinegar etc etc).

Hi, ordered our cube on 31 March and its being delivered this Thursday 22nd April!!!! so 3 weeks!

11 days But that was for an eglu go without chickens.

 

Also. not everything was delivered. The shade, the layers pellets we ordered and parts of the door were missing, they were delivered at a later date, so in all 15 days

 

EDIT: the shade that was delivered the second time was the wrong one. It was an eglu classic shade and I have an eglu go, so really, I'm still waiting for everything to be delivered. Lets just say that I am NOT impressed with the delivery service .

 

EDIT AGAIN: New shade came today, but was the wrong one again! ... so, 18 days and counting, for the time it takes for a full, correct, delivery.

Ordered it mon it came thursday!!! But i did phone up after i placed order and didnt have chickens!

I ordered my on a Sunday and it came 6 days later on the Saturday complete with food and 4 chooks. Must admit though, the original delivery time was 3 weeks but they ended up in my area sooner for some reason. I think it would be best for you to ring them as it seems it depends on many factors! Good luck

 

Oooh and some piccies when you do get them would be nice!! x
