lil D
We got 3 ex-bats nearly a year ago. 2 are fine and lay nearly every day since starting to lay again, but poor Flo, who was the smallest and oven ready, only laid for a few weeks. Her eggs were very large and had a ridge on one side??? The shells got thinner and then were shellless for a bit, but nothing since autumn. She has always been quieter than other 2 and spends quite a lot of time just standing still with head in and eyes shut. Also, her comb is always much paler than others. We worm them regularly, so don't think that is problem. The other 2 are best of friends and follow each other around. Could she just be feeling left out and sad? I don't think there can be anything seriously wrong with as she has been like this for over 6 months now, but we would love to see her as happy as our other girls. Any ideas? Plum
If it's not a new behaviour you probably don't need to worry. She's enjoying a quiet retirement and life as a couch potato. Just a thought, red mite can cause anaemia and a pale comb it may be worth treating them:?
