Can anyone tell me whether the cube is rat proof with all the doors shut?

We have had no problems with rats since we got our cube. I would imagine that they could get in if they tried hard enough (they can climb and can squeeze through very small gaps) but rats are generally after food so would be more interested in spilt pellets or accessible feeders.

They can get in. The mesh is too wide. If it was welded by 1"X1" a rat wouldn't get in. I will cover my run with a smaller mesh to stop the vermin.

The cube is rat proof, the run is not...

I wouldnt say the cube was rat proof, the vent holes etc.. are big enough for a rat to get in I believe

 

What I would say is that due to its height, the fact that vents are on vertical surfaces and the slippery nature of the plastic I would think it very unlikely that a rat would get in
