Lone Ranger
Hi salbo, I've just started having the same problem. At first I thought a rat may be getting in, so I kept the eglu shut at night for the last couple of days, but this morning when I opened up there was a broken egg in the nest. So I'd be interested to see if anyone out there can give some advice.......
Helen
Hi, I had a real problem with my Pepper pot chook eating her egg every day and that of her friend too. She was a real pain and we couldn't stop her doing it despite our best efforts!! Good Luck
Mollie333
Ahh.. Do you know what time she lays? Effy used to do this quite alot. But everytime she laid i used to snatch the egg from under her and take her out- straight away, i did this for about a month, then she got over eating her eggs and left them. eww, raw egg! legend21
I know there is a machine you can buy that stops them getting to the eggs as mine has started doing this, I will need to google it to find out what it is Jackie
Debby Tutton
I agree with Mollie333, We had the same problem and it seemed to take ages to sort it out. Lots of waiting around the Eglu and getting in at the first sign and removing the egg. Good luck.
