Matilda has just laid the most enormous egg! It weighs 100g - twice the size she normally lays. It's making my eyes water just looking at it. She seems totally unfazed by it, scratching round the garden without a care in the world. Any ideas as to what has caused this and will she go back to laying normal sized eggs?

Haven't cracked it open yet. I'm going to take photos of it and I've been showing it off to the neighbours today. Will have it for breakfast tomorrow. I'll let you know if it's a double yolker.
