l_ouise
One of my chickens is producing eggs with questionable whites. I just cracked her todays egg into the frying pan and noticed a dense white band of white running through the rest of the normal clear white - it kind of looked like an earthworm or a length of intestines in shape and size. I daren't eat it as i recall her earlier boiled eggs having quite chewy parts to the white and didn't want to be put off eating them further. The other chickens eggs are fine. Anyone know what is causing it? Thanks

Redwing
There are strands that hold the yolk stable in the egg, I cant for the life of me remember what they are called but they are the only natural things in an egg that could resemble a stringy looking thing
