ronniemoto
hi all, I could do with your advise, we had two chickens for about two years but sadly one died about two weeks ago. So we bought two new and introduced them to our remaining chicken. However, I've been reading up about this and they all mention the old one pecking on the new one but in our case it's the other way around!! Our old one is absolutely petrified of one of them and doesn't go in at night or doesn't go anywhere near it. We can't keep them separated really,we only have one chicken run. What's the best way to solve this problem?
Chick-a-doodle-doo
hi, I'm having the same behaviours althought my 4 won't go in at night and the new 2 have. I am sure they will settle down in a day or two. I make sure my 4 get to come out and free range too so they have some time away from them. Good luck with yours. sjp
as long as no blood is being drawn and the one being pick on has room to escape it just going to take time how long have you had the new ones?
scarlettohara
I've just introduced 3 new girls to my original 3 - they have settled in together really well but the little amberlink gets left out a lot and the others dart at her over treats. However they let her eat and drink and they all free range together she is just quieter but I'm sure with time she'll be fine.
