Hello, it's me again, sorry about all the questions! Picked up my 5 pekins on Sunday so fed them pellets for the first time today. THe bag recommended 80-140g perchicken & as they are bantums I went on the small side & measured out 80g per chicken, so 400g went into the feeder. I have just mesured what has not been eaten & not included some on the floor there is 200g left. Have they eaten enough do you think? They get corn in the evening, which they love but I am conscious that they might be waiting for that? What do you think?

They don't really eat very much until they start laying so I wouldn't worry too much I'd say go easy on the treats though as it's tempting to give them too much then they'll expect it all the time.

Thanks, I will put out less pellets tomorrow & maybe no/or much less corn later on. It is indeed tempting to give them what they love, especially when they eat it from your hand

I wouldn't put out less - if you put out the same amount they can take as much as they need. I would avoid giving treats for a week or two so they get used to eating pellets.
