We had a lovely afternoon yesterday weather wise and today looks great - so much so, I've dug my shorts out.

I have noticed that my chickens are very much like me in the hot weather. They simply lay down and stretch out.

If the weather remains like this over the weekend, thats exactly what we'll all be doing - stretched out, enjoying the sunshine (although I probably should be prepping the are for my new wir).

I will be giving the coop a good clean-out and spray with insecticide and it will be able to dry nice and quickly!

The heat has sent my 2 sussex broody AGAIN!

 

 

But the new ones are loving it they are just sitting around having a good old scratch because today is their 2nd day out and they are happy as they can be.

 

It is supposed to be 25 degrees around cambridgeshire so CAMBS PEOPLE WATER WATER WATER.

My girls were warm today but Maude seemed to like it...

 

 

here she is enjoying a dust bath.

 

I thought she was going broody yesterday too as she was hogging the nestbox but seems to have gone back to normal overnight. FIngers crossed!!

 

I plan to enjoy the warm weather by relaxing in it...it could be the only summer we get so must make the most1

Bob and Betty were doing that today.

 

They have only recently started to do it. I think at some poin tthey realised 'OMG we can make Rhys's mum go mental by digging up her flower bed and rolling around in the dirt' or 'OMG this is fun remember when we did this last year at power poultry with the chicks ?' ahahah I wish my chickens could talk Sad I know but would be so funny what they would come out with.

Yep, today. It was amazing, chooks loved it.

Not sure what you mean. maybe some branches, logs, stones (not sharp, though) and light foilage!
