My white pekin Popcorn laid her very first egg today. She was a bit lethargic this morning so I think the enormity of the task ahead of her was preying on her mind. She laid the egg this afternoon, then was all bright-eyed and perky and pleased with herself - as was I. She got extra meal worms! That brings my egg tally to a grand total of six - five from my buff pekin Goujon and the one from Popcorn. Two today! I'm so proud. :D
