Misscherryskull Posted June 1, 2010 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Hiya, i have 3 hens who usually lay 3 brown eggs a day but over past couple of weeks one egg has the usual brown shell but seems coated in white stuff, some days its worse than others, its sometimes speckled with the white stuff and today the whole egg bar the tip is white,could it be the hens urine? Is it harmful to the hen? I only ever give them crushed oyster shell & limestone flour occassionally when i think they need it. Sounds like you're doing the right things so I'd just see how her subsequent eggs are. It might just be a blip. Your photo is perfect, btw .
