Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I should be school report writing as OH has taken the kids away camping for three days. However I am so not used to being on my own that I am pottering about doing other stuff. I am distracted by the glorious weather and deep in thought about how to stop the hens jumping the fence and getting out onto the road. I have bought more Omlet netting to put on top of the fence!!!!

Hey, it's Thursday - at least a whole three days before work....

 

I've been procrastinating all week about the stack of marking I brought back. I almost took it into the garden to mark whilst chicken watching today but unfortunately my magazine subscription dropped through the post just I was headed outside

 

I'm sure on Sunday night I'll regret it!

 

I don't envy you though but can sit here grateful we s"Ooops, word censored!"ped reports a couple of years ago.

Know what you mean. I should be catching up on some work before I return on Monday, but's it's much more fun pottering about with the chickens and sitting in the rocking chair outside reading.

 

It's too hot to work anyway!
