ali-s
Two of them Iris the Speckled Star and Daisy the Sussex Star. Daisy is being sweet at the moment, Iris however is being a moody, nasty so and so. I thought Hybrids were not prone to broodiness, that was the reason I started to collect hybrids instead of pure breed Bantams. Oh, and I cant find the wire cages I used as broody breakers when I had Bantams
Egluntyne
Apart from my Pekins, the only hens of mine that have ever gone broody have been hybrids.
meezers
My Speckledy went broody in her first year and was a right grump with it, only time I've heard a chicken growl Give me a Silkie any day .
