Willow Posted June 17, 2010 Share Posted June 17, 2010 As a family where every member wears glasses we have a lot of old pairs knocking around -some of which have expensive high density highpower lens so it seems a particular waste. In the interests of helping get to my 'Get rid of 100 items' total I thought I'd have a bit of a search to see if anyone does anything with old glasses and they do ! See Vision Aid Overseas http://www.vao.org.uk/showpage.php?id=164 apparently most opticians will collect old glasses and forward them to Vision Aid, in particular all Vision Express opticians will. I am lucky enough to work in a large office and we have someone involved in this charity, so he had a bag of old specs off myself and my dad a few years ago.
