hippy chick
I've just noticed that my nearly naked chicken has got a toe missing. She has a fat stump where her toe should be. I guess she probably got it caught in her cage a long time ago. Poor thing, now i feel even more angry towards battery farming!
Hens@HalfMoonLane
One of mine has a claw missing, toe is there though. She had really long claws but the other had claws worn down like she had been stood on a hard surface. Neither are eating and drinking well, I think they are ok but doing some funny coloured poos, probabaly the dye in the food they used to have still coming out. Are anyone elses doing funny coloured poos?
hippy chick
Mine seem to be perking up now. But they are still doing really watery poos though. They are finally eating so that should sort the watery poo out. One of mine is half the size of the others and she seems to be getting picked on quite a bit. I hate seeing her get picked on but i think i will only intervene if it gets too bad.
Guest
we've had a bit of squaring up thru the bars but it's only to be expected. On the whole, they're settling in well, one was sunbathing this morning, they're all scratching around and digging holes, they've found their food and water and we've had some of their eggs scrambled with bacon for lunch and I'm making a ham and cheese quiche for tea with their eggs too, with a nice salad
Hens@HalfMoonLane
Mine have eventually found the food and water, still doing watery poos. They had a good walkround the wir while the others were in the garden and are generally more inquisitive. And yippeee they put themselves to bed in the eglu, I was thinking I would have to crawl in for a second night running.
