Unsecure chicken perches

Hi

 

I have had a bad problem with feather pecking recently and have just sprayed our badly affected chickens with Nettex, now the two smaller ones are walking with there bottoms nearly on the floor.They are having trouble walking and obviously don't feel comfortable at all.

 

Is this a normal reaction?

 

Really worried now

 

Any info would be appreciated

Sorry, I don't know the product so can't really help. Hopefully it will pass. I would contact Nettex on Monday to try to get some advise and to report the reaction if it is one.

Did you post on P P forum about this? There's a thread from a couple of months ago that says the alcohol content is the problem and the instruction to spray for 3-4 seconds is wrong! The chickens affected recovered fairly quickly so hopefull yours will too.

No I didn't but I found that post through google after I put this post on.

 

Thankfully the girls are all well this morning, but they were definitely acting drunk last night

 

At least there is no lasting side effects (that I know at the moment)

That's a relief! Poor chooks - bet they didn't enjoy the hangover either!!

Dear me, I would report the reaction and ensure that they ensure that the instructions on the product are correct Jools, are the instruction that currently appear on the bottles or whatever incorrect?
