Mollie333
Hello everyone. As you probably know im new to hatching, and i have 4 eggs under a broody pekin (picture in my signiture) i put them under on the 17th of june, they are supposed to be Sussex eggs, so how long do you think they will need to hatch, also what age do the cockerels start to crow? Fingers crossed please everyone for a hen.
laurmurf
it's about 21 days from start of incubating to hatching (there may be some a day on either side). If you've got 4 eggs under, then you may only get 1 or 2 hatching. You might be lucky and get all 4 One of my cockerels started to crow at 5/6 weeks. Mollie333
Thanks. I'll get rid of the cockerels when they start to crow loud.
