honorandkit
We thought Mimi was being pecked, but now I've noticed that she's losing her feathers under her wings and looks pretty flea-bitten all over her head so I'm more inclined to think it's depluming mite - we haven't seen any aggression from the other girls towards her. Will red mite dust do the trick? Or is there something specific for depluming mite? I'm not sure whether our vet has any poultry knowledge, so I was going to treat Mimi myself and hope to get it sorted. Thanks.
honorandkit
I've scoured this forum and found lots of posts about depluming mite, but am confused by what to use on it. Flower of sulphur? ant powder? dog shampoo? Cream? Bath? dust? We think our girl came from the supplier with the mite - as we've only had her 2 weeks, should we go back to them and tell them? Poor Mimi looks so awful, but the other 3 are seemingly unaffected.
